One Of the Better Remixes...

But somehow it just doesn't stand up to the original...
Way better than some of the crapola I've seen, but not exactly the greatest thing I've ever heard.
B- for Effort.

Wow. Just Wow. (In a Good Way)

Argh! And it's so damn short!
I wish you did the whole song instead of just 2 minutes, but I guess it's better than it dragging, I s'pose!
I'm beginning to love your remix work, keep it up and you might get a 10 out of me! ^_~

The Rating Says It All: Respect.

It's like Legend of Zelda without the obnoxious overdone-ness!

Oh my. .__.

Did my headphones get dropped in the pool? It sounds like the song is underwater and with some massive whammy bar. And that's it.
"Remix"? Strong term.

o_o ummm... yeesh.

To be honest, I skipped ahead a bit to see if anything was worth listening to and I caught the chorus. Oh my. ._.
It sounds like the piano line and the vox line are fighting for attention which is *not* good no matter what you're doing. The beauty of the original is that you hardly pay attention to the guitar and it makes great, simple backing, not a prominent out-there feature.

Wow!

With so many limited channels, it's amazing how you got all of the complex layering! Some *standard* remixes completely miss that!
My only complaint is that the melody line isn't prominent enough to me, but hey! This is an amazing remix.
Thank you!

What Song Is This?!

It sounded like some great orchestration but sounds *nothing* like Feel Good Inc. I didn't catch that at all, and never would've guessed if you didn't say so.

Too Simple, Too Short.

"On Melancholy Hill" is an incredibly complicated multi-layered song of three-and-a-half minutes. You covered two layers and one minute of it.
This needs a lot of work, to be honest, but you have something good to begin with! The flute synth really led me into the song, and I was waiting for some great trance/techno-y to come bursting in with it, but unfortunately, it just didn't deliver.
C- for Effort.

Well... All I Can Say Is You Asked For It...

I'm sorry, but I really didn't like this. I didn't really feel the "surge" that the name implies, it was a slower tempo with no energy-infused elements to make up for it. Plus, at the guitar solo, it seemed as if you resorted almost completely to the original song with only a little bit of static.
It was a great effort, but it didn't exactly pull through...

CyrusOfNaias responds:

Hey, thank you for the honest criticism!

"Surge" is really just my namesake, not implying anything behind it per se.

Great Song... Doesn't Live Up Its Predacessor.

Don't get me wrong- this is a great song! But it simply doesn't live up to the bass-pumping epicness that was Infertehno 1.

SOcollab responds:

True, we just ended up rushing towards publishing this song instead of giving some second thoughts. We did not expect from it to succeed as Infertehno, mainly because my brother was too busy sorting out his army related issues (pathetic excuse, I know), and also because we were too curious of the responses. It was too late though, we have failed to deliver the finishing touches in time.

I really appreciate your honesty and criticism, as it only gives us motivation to keep going, because this shows that you and other commentators do care about us, and our music in general.
