Not Excellent

I'm sorry, but I didn't like this, it seemed too twangy

Stratusfear responds:

fair enough.

PS, maybe the final version I finished might change your mind?

A Good Attempt.

I like the effort you put into this, and don't get me wrong, this is pretty good, but I just didn't get the *excitement* levels that come out of the original. It just doesn't have the same level of energy.
B+ For Effort.

Bacon92 responds:

hmmm... I think I know what you're getting at. It's a little harder with FL studio and the fact that I don't have any vocals to go along with it. If I had a vocaloid it would be much different.

Well... All I Can Say Is You Asked For It...

I'm sorry, but I really didn't like this. I didn't really feel the "surge" that the name implies, it was a slower tempo with no energy-infused elements to make up for it. Plus, at the guitar solo, it seemed as if you resorted almost completely to the original song with only a little bit of static.
It was a great effort, but it didn't exactly pull through...

CyrusOfNaias responds:

Hey, thank you for the honest criticism!

"Surge" is really just my namesake, not implying anything behind it per se.

Great Song... Doesn't Live Up Its Predacessor.

Don't get me wrong- this is a great song! But it simply doesn't live up to the bass-pumping epicness that was Infertehno 1.

SOcollab responds:

True, we just ended up rushing towards publishing this song instead of giving some second thoughts. We did not expect from it to succeed as Infertehno, mainly because my brother was too busy sorting out his army related issues (pathetic excuse, I know), and also because we were too curious of the responses. It was too late though, we have failed to deliver the finishing touches in time.

I really appreciate your honesty and criticism, as it only gives us motivation to keep going, because this shows that you and other commentators do care about us, and our music in general.

Thanks Lady! I love LoZ games.

Guitar Loser Gives The Awesome Award

In some generations, there are the heroes. Slash, This Kid In My Math Class and the Lead Guitarist of Rush Whose Name I Can't Come Up With Off The Top of My Head.
Me? I'm a Guitar Loser. My guitar... has plastic buttons. Yep, that bad. But see, the good thing is that your song gives me hope. Air Guitar Hero hope.
Hell yes.

wilb0b responds:

lol practice a lot dude! and also great guitarist can make even the crappiest guitars sound great! its just how you play.

just keep practicing and learning new styles and you should be able to become a great guitar player.

High Quality Means Epic Upon Epic

Alright, so I'll admit it: This song got me into Mario-o RPG. My brother showed me this song and I got obsessed. That's right, I'm a very, very bad nerd and use this as a point of reference instead of the other way around.
I had a download of this song from a YouTube link but I wasn't sure if it was real, I downloaded it anyway. Today, though, I found this. High. Quality. Hell yes. I can finally hear Peach's "Frying pan and parasol" line!

porkerpants responds:

I'm glad to have helped your nerdiness! :) And yes it sucks when you cannot hear one of the most epic lines in the song. :)

Hello, World, it's me again (sorry...) So umm.. how's life been treatin' ya?
